While it is true that in limited amounts for a limited time, this medication’s results could be beneficial, they are not meant to be taken indefinitely.

It’s not uncommon for a doctor to prescribe Rx medication if you are in pain due to surgery or an accident. Common medications that are usually offered are hydrocodone, morphine, and oxycodone. Just like anti-anxiety medication, these prescription drugs are meant to be used on a short-term basis to remove pain while your body heals from a specific trauma. Once your body does heal, you should no longer need or use the medication.
