How Long Does Rehab Last?

What Types of Durations Are There?

When you are in the midst of drug addiction, you may feel as though you are in a dark hole that makes you feel continuously helpless. Your life suddenly revolves around the next time you have the ability to use your drug of choice and you realize that your personal and professional life are beginning to falter.

Legacy Healing Center created different types of rehab programs to suit every type of patient. When planning your recovery journey, once of the decisions that you will need to make is the length of your stay in rehab. Our facility offers programs as short as 30 days and others as long as 90-days. At any point during your journey toward sobriety, you have the flexibility to extend the length of your rehab program.

It’s essential not to overlook the important role that detox plays in your overall treatment plan. Before you finalize your decision on the length of your rehab stay, we recommend that you consider going through our detox program to remove the influence of drugs in a safe manner. Although your detox program may only last a few days, it provides you with the peace of mind of knowing that you are eradicating a dangerous substance from your body with the assistance of a trained professional.

Benefits of 30, 60- and 90-Day Rehabs

One of the leading benefits of enrolling in our 30-day rehab program is that it gives you the chance to remove yourself from the temptation of using drugs, specifically when you opt to attend our inpatient program. When you opt to go through one of our inpatient programs, we provide you with a place to sleep and relax, healthy food to eat and a team of professionals that assist you in working through a different aspect of your recovery.

We understand that our inpatient program is not suitable for every rehab attendee. With this in mind, we developed our intensive outpatient plan of recovery. This option allows you to come to our facility during set times during the week for comprehensive addiction treatment. At the end of your day, you can return home to tend to other responsibilities.

Our 60-day rehab plan expands on the therapy and interactions of our 30-day program. Spending 60 days at our treatment center also gives you more time to discuss important aspects of your recovery with our counselors. Although you will always have the chance to go through individual therapy with one of our counselors, staying longer allows you to work in greater detail with our team to determine the root cause of your addiction.

In many cases, we always recommend that you take part in our 90-day inpatient program when possible. This treatment program gives you the greatest possibility of long-term success by providing you with the opportunity to solidify healthy routines and communicate on an on-going basis with our counselors regarding how you are thinking and feeling.

It’s important to remember that regardless of the length of your stay, you will take part in different types of therapies and other activities. For example, the first half of your day could be filled with group therapy during which time you interact with other patients regarding your past experiences and feelings about addiction. This is an ideal time to develop relationships with fellow patients and begin to build a support system that is a great help in your overall recovery.

What Happens After Rehab?

One of the leading concerns among prospective rehab attendees is what happens once their stay at rehab is over. Our team recognizes the fact that sobriety is a lifelong commitment which is why we created our Addiction Aftercare program.

The Addiction Aftercare program provides you with continuous support once you are done with your rehab program. Services associated with this program include a 12-step fellowship, alumni support groups as well as options for family support groups. Our team also arranges for routine social outings so that you can expand relationships with fellow alumni. These outings include picnics, sporting events and sunny days at the beach. Toward the end of your rehab program, a member of our team will give you more information about this beneficial program.
