How Are Faith-Based Rehabs Different?
One of the top ways that the programs at Legacy Healing Center are different from other treatment facilities is that we offer you the option to grow and expand your faith during the time that you are here. Our individual counseling sessions give you an excellent opportunity to speak with a team member in a personalized setting. During this time, you can discuss your growing spirituality and how you feel you are progressing in your program. This time is also a tremendous change to explore the possible traumatic events in your life that may have led you down addiction.
Therapy will play a focal role in your overall recovery. A form of treatment that you will consistently take part in during your time at Legacy is group therapy. During these guided sessions, you will have the chance to share what you think about specific topics associated with addiction. You will also listen to the insight of other clients that are going through their recovery journey.
Your budding spirituality may be something that you feel uncomfortable talking to your family about, especially after addiction chaos. If you are ready to speak with your family about your growing beliefs, we can arrange a family therapy session. These meetings provide a neutral setting where you can talk not only about the damage that may have been caused during your time in active addiction but also discuss the positive spiritual changes you continue to make in your life.
What Does the Bible Say About Addiction?
The Bible continuously cautions against any type of addiction. When Jesus gave us the Lord’s prayer, he states in Matthew 6:13, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

Any addiction is a form of temptation, and you should always do everything you can to stay away from it. However, the Bible also sends messages of hope as long as you continue to believe and trust in the plan that God has for you. This is evident in Philippians 4:13 where it is said, “I Can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
