What is Rehab Like

What Do You Do in Rehab?

Do you find yourself struggling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol? Are certain aspects of your personal or professional life suffering as a result of your addiction? If the answer is yes, it is time to seriously consider enrolling in a treatment program that can provide you with the tools and support you need to overcome your addiction.

The Legacy Healing Center inpatient drug rehab team works hand in hand with you to develop a treatment program that helps you recover from your addiction and one that makes you feel comfortable. We take the time to listen to your needs and concerns to provide you with the chance to establish long-term sobriety.

An important aspect of recovery that you should always consider before you begin one of our treatment programs is to first go through our detox program. If you find that you are struggling with active addiction, it’s essential that you remove the influence of drugs or alcohol.

What many prospective patients don’t realize, however, is that once your body has become accustomed to consuming a certain level of drugs or alcohol it can be dangerous if not deadly to try to detox from those substances without the help of a trusted medical professional.

What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

Although various forms of therapy are the main focal point during your time in treatment, that is not the only way that our team can help. For example, do you need assistance with your career goals? Are you worried about the fact that you do not have a stable place to live? Let us know. We can speak with you about these critical details in your life and provide you with support so that you can begin your new sober life in the best possible manner.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

We pride ourselves on taking a new approach to recovery which incorporates various forms of therapy. While we do offer the traditional types of rehab therapy including group and individual counseling sessions, we also supply you with behavioral therapy as well as the coping skills you need to adjust back to life when you leave our facility.

Group Therapy

Group therapy provides you with a system of support during the time you are at our treatment facility. During these guided sessions, you will listen to and discuss various topics associated with addiction and recovery. This form of therapy allows you to interact with the other patients at the Legacy Healing Center and may lead to lifelong relationships that you could benefit you as you continue in your recovery.

One on One Therapy

Individual therapy is extremely important to not only your recovery but ensuring that you are getting the most out of your time at our facility. During these sessions, you will meet one on one with one of our counselors to discuss the progress you have made during your treatment program and how you are feeling as you continue in your recovery. If you have any concerns associated with your treatment or you would like to adjust your plan, these sessions provide you with the ideal opportunity.

We realize that many of our patients may want additional support after their treatment program is complete. Our team always encourages you to enroll in our Addiction Aftercare program. This program supplies you with a way to continue on in your treatment journey and receive assistance in finding local meetings, therapeutic care as well as connecting with other Legacy Healing Center alumni.
