Flexible Addiction Treatment in Tampa

Flexible addiction treatment is essential for people who want to get sober, take back control of their lives, and not leave their jobs or other responsibilities for long periods. Outpatient treatment programs are the answer to this issue, as we will be able to work with you to ensure your obligations can be met while you continue to receive high-quality addiction care.

What’s the Difference Between IOP and PHP?

The difference between the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Legacy Healing is the amount of time spent inside our rehab facility’s walls and the number of hours spent in therapy and groups per week.

The Partial Hospitalization Program is a 6-day-per-week program with a minimum of 25 hours a week of clinical treatment. You will stay overnight or commute, depending on your personal circumstances, and the program is highly structured and scheduled.

When you join the IOP or transition from the PHP, you will find that it is still quite structured and scheduled, but you only have nine scheduled hours of clinical treatment per week. You will still participate in other programs like 12-step meetings and groups.

The IOP is also more flexible than the PHP, and you will also have more time in your day than in the PHP, so you can begin working, going to school, or taking care of other responsibilities again.
