Inpatient rehab provides a safe place for a person to overcome their dependence on a substance, starting with detox. Rehab looks different for everyone with many programs being provided to meet the needs of a wide range of patients. You stay onsite in a comfortable environment as you learn the skills you need to move forward with your life.
Along with your substance use disorder, our therapists are trained to help you with a variety of issues that come from addiction and dual diagnoses. We offer individual and group therapy with cognitive behavior therapy and other therapies as well as alternative treatments to help you deal with underlying issues.
Legacy Healing Center offers the care you need when you’re looking for drug rehab in Florida. We can help you get the treatment you need to get your life back. We provide assistance, starting with drug detox and continuing with treatment programs that are personalized for your needs. You can learn more about what we offer when you talk to our treatment specialists.
Most inpatient drug treatment programs start with detoxing. This step is necessary to rid the body of the substance, so they can begin treatment. Once detox is completed, the treatment program will help the patient deal with the addiction. Various options are available for the patient.
Long-term Residential Treatment
Long-term treatment allows a patient to stay onsite between six and 12 months. It often includes interaction with the community and career assistance as the patient prepares for life on their own.
Short-term Residential Treatment
Short-term programs may provide inpatient support for 30, 60, or 90 days or another timeframe to help the patient begin recovery. These programs often transition to outpatient treatment or 12-step programs.
Individual Counseling
The therapist works with the patient one-on-one to help them develop strategies to manage their addiction and avoid relapse. They may also recommend other treatments, such as medical or psychiatric services.
Group Therapy
Often offered in conjunction with other treatments, a group setting can provide support and encouragement to the patient. Conversations in the group reinforce what is discussed in individual counseling.
Counseling and therapy programs help the patient develop the ability to deal with triggers that led them to use an addictive substance. They may receive medical treatment to help manage cravings or to deal with underlying issues in a dual diagnosis, such as anxiety or depression. Many treatment centers offer alternative treatments, such as hypnotherapy, brain painting, or other methods to help a patient overcome their addiction.
An important decision that you will need to make when you are putting together the basis of your treatment program is to choose whether you will go through our outpatient or our inpatient program. This choice should not be taken lightly, and it is one we recommend you do with the help of a member of our team.
Our inpatient treatment program provides you with a safe and secure location for you to live while working on your recovery. During your time at Legacy, you will take part in at least 25 hours a week of clinical treatment. This time mainly includes various forms of therapy, which we will highlight further down on this page. When you are not participating in counseling, you will have the option to attend different evening programs designed to help promote the new sober lessons you are learning.
Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient treatment is an ideal option for a person who realizes that they need help in overcoming their addiction but feel as though they are in a place in their life where they need to change their surroundings to do so. Unfortunately, there may be people in your life that knowingly or unknowingly contribute to your addiction. When you give yourself time to get away from those people and begin to put together an overall healthy routine, you give yourself an excellent opportunity to achieve lifelong sobriety.
Although we recommend you seriously consider attending our inpatient program regardless of the severity of your addiction, we understand that due to personal or professional responsibilities, that is not always possible. If you fall into this category, you can enroll in one of our two outpatient treatment plans. Remember, even if you go through our inpatient program, you can enroll in one of our outpatient programs once you are done with your initial program.
Outpatient Treatment
One of the outpatient programs that we feature at Legacy is our Intensive Outpatient Program, also known as an IOP. In many ways, an IOP is a step-down from an inpatient program because you will still come to our campus for a certain number of hours per week for treatment. However, you will not live at our facility the same way you would during our inpatient program. However, if you would like to transition over to our inpatient program during your IOP, we always leave that option open.
The other option is our traditional outpatient program. We usually recommend that patients who have completed either an inpatient program or an IOP also complete our outpatient program. However, many other clients need assistance in their recovery but cannot fully commit themselves to an inpatient program or an IOP for many reasons. Clients that enroll in our outpatient program will come to our facility at set times and days throughout the week to participate in treatment. We require clients that enroll in this program go to Legacy for at least one hour per week of therapeutic care while also taking part in various recovery activities, including 12-step meetings.
Regardless of which program you ultimately enroll in, we always caution our clients to remain open to any adjustments that may be required in their treatment plan. These options include extending your program’s length or utilizing certain types of medications that will help you work through your addiction and possible mental illness, which frequently goes hand-in-hand with addiction.
It’s common for most people to be apprehensive about what they might expect when they come to Legacy for rehab. Yet, the reality is often nothing like people imagine. When you first arrive at Legacy, our experienced team of addiction specialists will undertake a thorough assessment of your situation and your treatment needs. Depending on the type of drug you were taking before coming to rehab, we may recommend and administer certain prescription medications designed to make sure you’re safe and comfortable.
First Step – Detox
The first stage in any comprehensive rehab treatment program is detox. During detox, your body has the opportunity to eliminate any toxins from the drug you were taking. Some people may require medications to help manage cravings and make the detox process more comfortable overall. However, some people may need medically assisted treatments that replace the drug of addiction with a controlled substance that allows you to focus on your recovery without the risk of experiencing unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
It’s common for so many people to assume that once they get through the detox process, they should somehow be cured and able to return home again. Yet detox only breaks the body’s physical dependency on the substance. It does nothing to address any of the underlying psychological reasons behind your substance abuse disorder.
Counseling & Relapse Prevention Plan
In order to improve your chances of making a successful recovery, your counselor will work with you to begin identifying and understanding some of the triggers behind your addictive behaviors. When you know more about the nature of addiction and the things that may have contributed to your substance abuse issues, you’re in a stronger position to begin building a relapse prevention strategy designed to work for your needs.
Your relapse prevention strategy will help you recognize the early warning signs of a potential relapse. You’ll also learn new coping mechanisms and recovery skills designed to help you reduce your exposure to potential triggers that could lead to relapse.
Build Daily Habits
Each day you spend in the best drug rehab center in Florida is structured in a specific way to help you begin building new daily routines focused on your healthy recovery. You’re encouraged to turn in at a reasonable hour each night and awake so you feel refreshed. You’ll eat nutritious meals regularly throughout your day, which can help your body begin to heal from the ravages of drug abuse. You’ll also have lots of downtime to explore some different leisure activities and recreational pursuits you might never have considered before.
You’ll also begin to recognize that you’re not alone with the challenges you face, as you’ll learn from other people that they’ve been where you are in their own recovery journey. When it’s time for you to leave rehab and return to independent living, the new daily routines you began forming at Legacy should have become a habit for living your new sober life.
The cost of inpatient drug treatment can vary widely based on the programs offered. One factor that impacts cost includes the length of stay with some programs lasting only 30 days and others for six months or longer. Treatment centers that offer a wide range of alternative therapies may also be more expensive. Some programs can cost several thousands of dollars each month. However, most insurance carriers offer policies that cover inpatient addiction rehab and pay for at least a portion of the costs.
How to Pay for Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Health insurance will usually pay for at least part of the inpatient drug rehab services provided if you have a policy through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Many private policies also offer coverage, but you may have a waiting period after you begin the policy.
To find out what is covered with your policy, you can review the summary of benefits. You may be required to pay a copay for some of the services. As you search for inpatient drug treatment centers, you’ll want to find out which ones are in-network to help reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
