Go Hiking & Explore These Trails

Going out for a hike on any given day is a wonderful way to clear your mind. A good rule of thumb is to make sure that you bring your camera with you to capture every moment of beauty that you experience along the way. Our favorite spots include:

North Fork Sunflower Maze

North Fork Sunflower Maze is a great place to walk through if you plan a fun family day. These trails are easy to navigate, with part of the trail including a beautiful array of sunflowers.

Go Golfing with a Sober Companion

Although golf is indeed a fantastic sport that can provide any person with significant physical and psychological benefits, if you were recently in an alcohol rehab program, you might feel uncomfortable when you realize that many Long Island golf courses sell alcohol. This doesn’t have to deter you from enjoying an exciting round of golf, however. Instead of planning to go to the course by yourself, you can simply invite a sober friend or family member to come with you. Taking this step will help you focus on your game and not feel so tempted to stop by the bar. If you’re looking for some suggestions for golf courses on Long Island, here are some suggestions:

Dix Hills Park Golf Course

Dix Hills Park Golf Course is known throughout Long Island as being a challenging yet fun course. One of the attractions of this course is the fact that it is open seven days a week between 6:30 AM and 7 PM. If you don’t feel like playing a full round of golf that day, you can always opt to take advantage of their driving range so that you can focus on bettering your skills.
