Grappling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol is something that is often crippling for any person. In most cases, your addiction tends to take over your entire life. Your day begins to revolve around when you can consume your drug or drink of choice. Sadly, one of the consequences of addiction is that you start to lose the relationships you once held importantly. Whether you begin to distance yourself from your family, friends, co-worker, or your higher power, an addiction can have a devastating impact on your life.

When you are ready to address your addiction, you must find a treatment center that can help you. As addiction experts, the Legacy Healing Center team in South Florida is here and ready to help you on your journey toward sobriety. We always caution our clients that you should keep an open heart and mind during your recovery. It’s important to remember that as a result of living in the chaos of addiction, you need to learn new and healthier ways to live, which can take time. You will likely hear things during therapy or during conversations with other clients or staff that you may have never heard of before. We encourage you to be an active participant in your recovery and ask questions and express your thoughts and ideas while remaining respectful of the opinions of those around you.

Our drug treatment center can play a vital role in your overall recovery. One of the essential benefits of coming to Legacy for addiction care is that we can provide you with a safe and luxurious environment that you can utilize during your recovery.

We strive to break the traditional model of addiction care. Whereas many people have the common misconception that a treatment center is akin to a lockdown wing in a hospital. You will have access to several amenities during your time at Legacy. Alcohol Rehab Centers for Bloomington Residents

If you have been struggling with an addiction to alcohol, you must look to help from a trusted treatment center specializing in this type of addiction. On the whole, alcohol is seemingly integrated into every aspect of our society. It’s not uncommon to see multiple commercials on television which features alcohol throughout the day. Additionally, many liquor stores open as early as 9 AM, with bars and restaurants opening shortly after that.

Our alcohol treatment center can help you identify what events happened in your life that may have triggered your addiction, but we can also provide you with the tools you need to avoid temptation once you return home.

Addiction Treatment Centers for
Bloomington, IN Residents

At Legacy, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with addiction treatment that incorporates a holistic approach. For instance, we give our clients the flexibility to decide whether they would like to work through an inpatient or an outpatient program. It would be best if you always took the time to consider both options as there are great benefits to both of them.

For some clients, trying to work through a recovery plan while still living at home is, in a word, impossible. You may be living with a person or people that don’t understand that addiction is a disease, and they may not be able to provide you with the support or understanding that you need to make the most out of your treatment plan. Our inpatient program would provide you with the most benefit for these clients since it will give you a safe and structured environment so that you can truly recover.

However, we understand that this is not always a viable option for our clients. If you have personal or professional responsibilities that you need to adhere to. However, you still realize that you need help in overcoming an addiction, our outpatient treatment program may be better suited for you. This program gives you the option to come to Legacy on specific days and times for treatment. You will still receive the same level of attention and care as our inpatient clients; however, your program will be more tailored to your pre-existing responsibilities.

You will still experience and take part in the same therapy forms, regardless of whether you decide to go through our inpatient or outpatient program. Group therapy will play a leading role in your time at Legacy. During these sessions, you will have the chance to talk to other members of your group about topics associated with addiction and recovery. Group therapy will provide you with the benefit of learning more about these topics and listening to the opinions of other people that are grappling with similar issues.

Other examples of therapy that we offer at Legacy include individual counseling and behavioral therapy. We also realize that addiction tends to be a disease that can impact every member of your family, so we believe that family therapy can be beneficial for our clients. These sessions allow you to meet with your family in a neutral environment. During this time, you can begin to rebuild relationships that may have been adversely affected by your addiction. The relationship you have with your family members can provide you with extra support once you return home. When you first reach out to one of our recovery specialists, they can give you a more detailed explanation of the types of therapies that you will experience when you come to Legacy.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

One of the most common questions that we receive from clients thinking of coming to Legacy revolves around the cost associated with their care. This is an understandable concern as we understand that some clients may be struggling with personal financial issues. However, it’s important to remember that our treatment plans are personalized to suit your needs. Therefore, the cost associated with your program and that of another client may not be the same.

At Legacy, we believe that every person that wants to recover from the effects of drugs or alcohol should be given a chance to do so. If you do not have private insurance, we will always do everything we can to work with you to come to Legacy for treatment.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

Unfortunately, there are many physical and emotional consequences that you may need to combat with when you are ready to stop consuming your drug of choice. During the course of your addiction, your body and your brain became accustomed to consuming that drug, and when you suddenly stop, your body and mind may go into a bit of a tailspin for some time.

Detox is an integral part of your recovery because it is the initial step toward sobriety. We never recommend that you try to go through the drug detox process unless you are under the care of a trained medical professional. The physical and emotional symptoms associated with detox often set in within a few hours of the last time that you consumed your drug of choice. While it’s impossible to pinpoint precisely which symptoms you will feel, many of our clients have stated that they feel as though they are fighting off a bad case of the flu during the detox period.

However, it’s critical to note that your withdrawal symptoms could very quickly become deadly. For example, if you become so sick that you cannot care for yourself in fundamental ways, you may find that you are dehydrated, negatively impacting your body.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

Alcohol detox works much in the same way that drug detox does. If you are actively drinking when you first reach out to Legacy, we will always recommend that you go through our alcohol detox program first. The reason for this is that you should never begin your journey toward recovery while you are still under the influence of alcohol. Deciding to remove any trace of alcohol from your body will go a long way in terms of absorbing what you are learning during the course of treatment.

Similar to an addiction to drugs, within just a few hours of the last time you took your last drink, your body will begin to experience a series of withdrawal symptoms. Nausea, shakiness, and an increase in anxiety are typical examples of symptoms you may feel as you go through the detox process.

However, in severe cases, you may experience tremors that could have potentially deadly consequences. We strongly advise our potential clients that they should never try to go through the detox process alone just in case these severe symptoms present themselves.

How Long is Rehab?

When you come to Legacy Healing Center in South Florida, you will need to make several decisions as you begin your journey toward sobriety. One of those decisions will be the length of your treatment program. Remember, our treatment programs are individualized to meet your needs, so you will have the opportunity to participate in a program that can last 30, 60, or 90 days.

Regardless of whether you decide to participate in our 30, 60, or 90-day program, there are tremendous benefits associated with coming to Legacy for treatment. One of the leading advantages is that you are making a concerted effort toward changing the people, places, and things around you. Removing yourself from harmful or toxic influences for a set period can do wonders for changing your overall approach toward addiction and recovery.

Our staff will regularly check in with you regarding how you feel as you progress through your program. If you feel as though you would like to extend your treatment plan, we can accommodate that at any time.

Does My Insurance Have
Coverage for Rehab?

In recent years, it’s become a fact that addiction is a disease. Addiction is not something that any person would ever ask for or want. With that understanding, many insurance companies now provide the option to cover all or a portion of the time you spend at a recovery program.

However, it would help if you remembered that there might be certain restrictions associated with your insurance coverage. For example, many insurance carriers will not cover the expense associated with a detox program. You may also need to wait a certain amount of time to receive coverage through a program at Legacy if you recently went through another program previously.

If you have any questions regarding what your insurance provider will cover, our team members will always help you address these concerns.

Coming back home to Bloomington is something you should always look forward to. You will be returning home to your friends, family, and the familiar things you know and love. However, it’s understandable that you may feel apprehensive about returning home for various reasons. With this understanding, we give every client the option to enroll in our Addiction Aftercare program. This program allows you to remain in touch with the staff and alumni from Legacy and enable you to continue your therapy plan with the Legacy team’s assistance. There are numerous other benefits of our Addiction Aftercare program, which we can discuss with you at any time during the course of your treatment.

To make the adjustment of being home in Bloomington easier, we always recommend that you begin to look for 12-step meetings in your area as soon as you get back home.
