What to Expect

What you can expect daily during the course of your treatment will be specific to the type of program you enroll in. For example, if you opt to participate in our inpatient program, you will live, sleep, and eat at our facility for either 30, 60, or 90 days. We understand that inpatient treatment is not a viable option for everyone, so we also offer outpatient programs that are more suitable for clients who still have personal or professional responsibilities that they need to adhere to. When you return home after treatment at Legacy Healing in South Florida, you should always be conscious of putting in place a healthy schedule of attending 12-step meetings around the area. Doing so will help to reinforce the lessons that you learned while you’re here.

New York Botanical Garden

One of the most beautiful places to visit in the Bronx is the New York Botanical Garden. Although the garden is open to visitors all year round, the best time to visit this location is during the spring when the flowers are in full bloom. If you can’t make it there during this time of year, however, don’t worry. The garden still hosts a number of educational events that are suitable for any age group. You can visit the New York Botanical Garden between 10 AM and 6 PM from Tuesday through Sunday.

Van Cortlandt House Museum

The Bronx area has certainly seen its fair share of history. The Van Cortlandt House Museum is designated as being the oldest house in the Bronx borough. The house was originally built in 1748 and served as the Van Cortlandt family’s primary residency. The house was used and visited during the Revolutionary War by George Washington as well as the Marquis de Lafayette. The family went on to sell the home to the City of New York in 1889, and became a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
