What Is Rehab Like (Alcohol & Drugs) for Charlotte Residents?

What Do You Do During Rehab?

If you have gone through a treatment plan due to addiction, the prospect of the process may feel overwhelming. On the one hand, your addiction may lead you to think that going through treatment would be a waste of time. While on the other hand, you may feel as though you are afraid of the unknown.

The professionals at Legacy Healing Center in South Florida work to make recovery less intimidating and more of an attainable reality. When you come to our facility for treatment, we will work with you to put together a holistic recovery plan. This plan will include not only taking part in different types of therapy but participating in various activities that will help you begin to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

An average day at Legacy Healing Center will vary depending on your treatment program. For example, if you opt to participate in our inpatient program, you will stay on our campus around the clock for a certain amount of days. We will provide you with a warm and comfortable bed and healthy food during your stay.

If inpatient treatment is not feasible, we also offer a comprehensive outpatient program. You will collaborate with our team to work out specific days and times to come to our facility for treatment. You will still experience the same forms of therapy that you would during an inpatient program, however, an outpatient is explicitly tailored to suit any time constraints or responsibilities that may not allow you to participate in our inpatient program.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

At Legacy, we believe that it’s vital that our clients participate in various forms of therapy to have a better chance of achieving long-term sobriety. Over and above taking part in the traditional ways of treatment, including group and one-on-one counseling, we also provide you with the opportunity to participate in behavioral and family therapy, both of which can help you recover from the ramifications of addiction.

Group Therapy

During the time that you are at Legacy, a fair amount of your time will be spent participating in group therapy. These therapy sessions closely follow the model of a traditional 12-step meeting for alcoholics. During group therapy, you will take part in guided discussions about specific issues. You will have the chance to share your thoughts and feelings about the topic. In turn, your fellow group attendees will also share what they think about what is being discussed. Group therapy is an excellent way to learn more about the reasons that may have led you down the road toward addiction and establish relationships with other rehab attendees at our facility.

One-on-One Therapy

One-on-one therapy, also known as individual therapy, is a critical part of your overall recovery. During these sessions, you will meet with a member of our team to discuss how you are feeling about the progress in your program and personal details of your addiction and life that you may not feel comfortable talking about in a group setting.
