What to Expect During Rehab
A common question that we are asked here at Legacy Healing Center is, “What can I expect when I come to your rehab?” When you contact us, you will be given a case manager who will help you navigate through the admissions process. Your manager will gather all pertinent information about you, and set up a physical and psychological evaluation to determine the level of care that you will require for a successful recovery.
Your evaluation takes into consideration many factors besides your physical and mental health, and may include:
- The length and severity of the addiction
- Family dynamics
- Outside therapists
- Co-occurring mental disorders like: depression, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, etc.
- Non-compliance of treatment
- Multiple relapses
Once all the information has been assessed, a personalized treatment plan and protocol will be designed specifically for you that can meet all your needs and challenges. We believe that a holistic approach to healing works best because it is aimed at healing the whole person in body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
We are a top accredited drug rehabilitation facility in South Florida with a high success rate. Our staff consists of educated and experienced doctors, nurses, therapists and clinicians who are here to provide you with the high level of care and support that you need to overcome substance abuse.
We practice evidence-based modalities like those outlined by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). You will receive comprehensive care that will educate and prepare you to live a drug-free life once you have left our facility. Some of the treatment options that you may receive here at Legacy include:
- Medically supervised detox
- Individual and group therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Dialectical behavior therapy
- Family therapy
- Medically-assisted therapy
- Relapse prevention
- 12-step programs
- Aftercare programs
Addiction is a complex disease that affects both brain function and behavior. Some of our treatment modalities are designed to address and reverse those problems. Recovery is a process that takes time and commitment to be successful. Once you commit yourself to the process, and are given enough time to renew thought and behavior patterns, you can successfully overcome any addiction.
You will be re-evaluated as you progress through the stages of recovery, and your treatment plan will be modified accordingly. With quality care, you will be able to reverse many of the negative actions that caused drug addiction. This will empower you to live a productive and happy life in the future.
Your care manager will tell you what to bring for your stay at Legacy Healing Center and will help you settle in when you first arrive. We have a beautiful, safe facility, and our staff is friendly and supportive. You will be able to meet other people who are in similar situations like your own, and have the opportunity to socialize with them and become a part of our community.
How Much Does Rehab Cost?
The cost of an inpatient treatment program at a drug rehab facility can vary greatly depending on the facility, the program you are entered into, amenities, etc. Your medical insurance will likely cover a 28 to 30-day stay at a drug rehab, although some insurance may cover more. The admissions team at Legacy Healing Center can help you determine costs, insurance coverage, and anything in between.
Additionally, most rehab facilities provide some form of financial aid for out-of-pocket expenses. You should also find out if you are eligible for other types of financial help through Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare for veterans. If you do not have health insurance, you can speak with one of our financial counselors about other financing options that exist.
Outpatient rehab costs less than inpatient care, but is not recommended for individuals with a severe addiction, multiple relapses, or co-occurring mental disorders. Again, the specific cost is dependent on which facility you choose, its amenities, program types, etc.
In the long run, recovery treatment programs cost a lot less than supporting a drug addiction, and they won’t put your life in danger. Contact Legacy Healing Center today for questions on costs and insurance coverage – we can help you verify your insurance plan and get you into a treatment program that fits your needs.
Does Insurance Cover Residential Rehab?
While most health insurance providers may cover a 30-day drug rehab program, they may limit the type of services that are covered. It is best to contact your health insurance provider to find out exactly what you are covered for. The financial representatives at Legacy Healing can explain more to you about health insurance stipulations, what it may cover, and how to move forward to find out what your policy might cover.
What Is the Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient?
While inpatient and outpatient rehab programs both focus on rehabilitation, there are significant differences between the two. Outpatient rehab requires that you attend the rehab a few times a week for treatment, and is a good option for those with a mild addiction who must meet responsibilities to family, work, school etc. and can’t necessarily live out of the home full-time.
Residential inpatient treatment programs require that you live in the facility for a specified period of time to receive treatment. Inpatient rehab is more intensive, and structured so that you can focus on your recovery without any outside distractions.
An inpatient program affords you the time needed to make necessary changes in your thought and behavior patterns so you can live a sober life. You also become a part of the community of your peers, where mutual support and encouragement is fostered. There are specialized treatment programs for you to attend on a daily basis, and also recreational opportunities and free-time that can be enjoyed as well.
Once you complete an inpatient rehab program, you can still receive support and care as an outpatient, or join a support group or other type of aftercare program.
