What Is Rehab Like (Alcohol & Drugs) for King of Prussia Residents?

What Do You Do During Rehab?

When you are ready to finally overcome the hold that an addiction to drugs or alcohol has on you, you must find a treatment facility that can see to your recovery needs. Most of the standard questions that the Legacy Healing Center team receives from prospective clients revolves around what happens during treatment.

Your time in recovery will be a mix of participation in various forms of therapy as well as indulging in our luxurious accommodations in South Florida during your downtime. We believe that our approach to recovery will provide you with the best chance to achieve lifelong sobriety.

What Does the Average Day
Look Like While in Rehab?

Your typical day in recovery will significantly depend on your treatment plan. When you first come to Legacy Healing, we work with you personally to develop a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your recovery goals, which means that every client’s day may be slightly different. For example, if you decide to enroll in our inpatient program, you will live on our campus for a set period while you are in recovery. Clients that choose to work through our outpatient program, on the other hand, will come to Legacy during set days and times for treatment. Our outpatient program is better suited for a client who needs to see professional or personal responsibilities but still understands the importance of healing from an addiction.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

At Legacy Healing, we utilize several therapeutic techniques to help you to overcome your addiction. The examples of the types of therapy you will participate in when you come to Legacy include group therapy, one-on-one therapy, and behavioral therapy.

Another form of therapy that you will focus on when you are ready to do so is family therapy. Sadly, one of the consequences of addiction is the fact that your family members may distance themselves. Family therapy can help you reconnect with your loved ones. These relationships can provide you with the critical and helpful support you need as you begin to navigate your recovery.

Group Therapy

If you have ever been to an AA or an NA meeting, you will notice that the Legacy group therapy sessions will closely model these types of discussions. During group therapy, you will have the chance to connect with other people who may have gone similar experiences as you.

Additionally, you will have the ability to share your thoughts and opinions regarding topics connected to sobriety, recovery, and addiction. In turn, you will benefit from listening to other people’s sentiments in your group, which will help you grow and develop in your own recovery.

One-on-One Therapy

One-on-one therapy, also referred to as individual therapy, gives you the chance to address the traumas or events in your past that may have triggered your addiction in a more personalized setting. You will meet with one of our counselors individually and begin to dig into the various factors that may have contributed to your addiction. These sessions are also an excellent time to review your treatment plan and to make any adjustments if needed. Of course, our team is always available to speak with your outside scheduled times.
