What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

Your typical day at Legacy will significantly depend on the type of program you choose. For example, if you decide to enroll in our inpatient program you will spend a set amount of days living at our facility. We will provide you with meals throughout the day as well as a comfortable place to sleep. When you are not taking part in therapy, you can participate in one of the numerous daily activities on site.

Outpatient clients will come to Legacy at set times during the week. This option is better suited if you have personal or professional responsibilities that cannot be overlooked, but you still understand that you need to receive treatment.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

There are multiple forms of therapy that you will participate in when you come to Legacy. Although your treatment plan will mostly revolve around group therapy and one-on-one therapy, we also provide our clients with the opportunity to take part in behavioral and family therapy. Behavioral counseling is an effective form of treatment if you are suffering from both an addiction as well as a mental illness. Group Therapy

A leading advantage of group therapy is the fact that it not only helps you to heal from addiction, but it assists you in forming the basis of a system of support. Through talking to other clients during group therapy, you will come to find that you are not the only person who may be thinking or feeling something associated with your addiction. The more you can speak about these emotions, you better your chances of attaining long term sobriety.

One-on-One Therapy

Individual therapy provides you with the benefit of speaking personally to one of our counselors. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to check-in with a member of our staff to ensure you are progressing throughout your program. You can also speak in a more intimate setting about some of the events that may have led you toward addiction.
