How Long Does Rehab Last for Manhattan Residents

What Types of Durations Are There?

An understandable question that we often field from prospective clients revolves around the length of time they will spend in a treatment plan. One of the leading benefits of trusting the Legacy Healing Center team in South Florida with your care is that we work with you to develop a treatment plan that will help you achieve long-term sobriety.

Call Legacy Healing Center 24/7 to speak with an intake specialist. Calls are completely confidential.

You will need to decide with a team member if you would like to enroll in our 30, 60, or 90-day treatment plan. Although this is a personal decision, we always advise that you make it with the assistance of a member of our team.
Benefits of 30, 60, and 90-Day Rehabs?

Regardless of whether you opt to enroll in a 30, 60, or 90-day treatment plan, there are tremendous benefits of focusing on your recovery. First and foremost, coming to our facility for care allows you to change the people, places, and environments around you that may have pushed you toward addiction. If you feel as though you are currently in an environment that does not support that thinking, you are welcome to participate in our inpatient program. Our inpatient services provide the flexibility to eat, sleep, and participate in treatment, all on the Legacy campus.

Every program incorporates different forms of therapy that, combined with commitment, will help you overcome your addiction and understand the factors in your life that may have led you down the addiction road. Two of the main types of therapy that you will take part in our group therapy and individual therapy. During group therapy, you will discuss various topics with fellow clients related to addiction and recovery. We ask that you remain open to the things that you hear as there is bound to be something you may not have heard in the past that will help you to develop your thoughts now.

Of course, there are certain occurrences in your life that you may not feel comfortable sharing in a group setting. In cases like this, we recommend that you take full advantage of your time in individual therapy. One on one therapy allows you to meet personally with a member of the Legacy team to talk about traumas and discuss how you are progressing in your treatment plan. If you are interested in making any adjustments to your plan, this is ideal for coordinating those changes.
What Happens After Rehab?

It’s important to remember that your recovery journey does not end when you leave Legacy. Our team developed the Addiction Aftercare program to help Legacy alumni manage their transition back home. If you need any assistance in therapeutic support, family support groups, or interested in a 12-step fellowship, our team is here to assist. Don’t forget, our facility also coordinates different activities specifically for our alumni throughout the year to help you continue to work on the bond that you formed when you were at Legacy.

Sober Friendly Attractions Near Manhattan

There is seemingly no end to the number of places you could visit in Manhattan on any given day. Whether you enjoy history, the arts, or delicious food, you can find a little bit of everything in Manhattan. Once you return home after treatment at Legacy in South Florida, we encourage you to take advantage of some of these fun, sober friendly venues. Doing so will allow you to see Manhattan with new eyes and understand more about your likes and dislikes as a person in recovery. If you need some suggestions of places to visit, here are a few top spots.

9/11 Memorial and Museum

Without question, one of the most moving places to visit in Manhattan is the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It’s unlikely that any person that lived through the events on September 11, 2001, will soon forget them. Today, where the towers once stood, is a beautiful outdoor memorial to the lost lives that day, which includes two large pools representing the outline of the towers. Between the pools is a museum filled with artifacts and photos that tell the story of the aftermath of that day.

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum is located at 180 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007.

One World Trade Center

Located within walking distance of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is One World Trade Center. This incredible piece of architecture was built in the wake of the events on 9/11 and was given the name the “Freedom Tower.” The tower is currently the tallest building in the United States, standing at 1,776 feet. Visitors to the building can stop by the gourmet restaurant, which features an assortment of delicious food. The observation deck is only open during certain times, so you will want to check ahead before you arrive.

One World Trade Center is located at 117 West Street, New York, NY 10007.

Guggenheim Museum

One of the most recognizable buildings in Manhattan is the Guggenheim Museum. The museum’s concept was first developed in 1937 as a result of the extensive collection of art that Solomon R. Guggenheim had acquired. Although the museum’s art collection is impressive, the building itself could also be considered a work of art. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the museum to put in place a circular structure that became recognizable by people all around the world today. The museum is open Thursday through Monday between 11 AM and 6 PM.

You can visit the Guggenheim Museum at 1071 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10128.
