What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

A typical day at Legacy Healing will greatly depend on your treatment program. For example, if you opt to participate in our outpatient program, you will only come to Legacy Healing at set days and times during the week. This program is specifically designed for clients with personal or professional responsibilities and cannot fully commit to being in a residential treatment program around the clock.

If possible, we recommend you opt to go through our inpatient program. Clients who enroll in this type of program will eat, sleep, and engage in treatment at our beautiful South Florida facility. We work to provide you with a home away from home environment, which includes a comfortable bed, healthy food and other amenities that you can enjoy when not participating in treatment. Would you like to get in a workout? Do you need help finding a good book to read? Just let us know, and we can assist.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

Regardless of your treatment program, you will participate in various forms of therapy during your stay at Legacy Healing. Behavioral therapy, group therapy, and individual counseling are all examples of therapy that you will engage in.

We also understand addiction tends to affect every family member, so we also offer family therapy. This form of therapy helps you to begin to rebuild your relationship with your relatives. Your family members can provide you with the reassurance and the support you need to continue down the road toward recovery.

Group Therapy

If you have ever been to a 12-step meeting, you will quickly notice a similarity between group therapy and a 12-step meeting. During these guided sessions, you will have the chance to share your opinions on specific topics associated with addiction, recovery, or life. In turn, you will listen to the experience of other people that are also in recovery.

One-on-One Therapy

There may be traumatic events in your past that need to be addressed, but you may not feel comfortable speaking about in a group-type setting. This feeling is one of the reasons why individual therapy will play an important role in your overall recovery. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to speak with a member of our team in a personalized setting.
