Treatment Center Near North Hempstead, New York Alcohol & Drug Rehab

North Hempstead: Best Rehab
for Alcohol & Drugs

When you are suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol, you will likely feel as though your addiction consumes every aspect of your life. Instead of focusing on fun and happy details of your life, such as spending time with friends or loved ones or visiting a fun location in your neighborhood, your day revolves around the next time that you will be able to use your drug of choice. Unfortunately, if you do not make the decision to work toward overcoming your addiction, your addiction may continue to develop to the point where you may suffer from serious long-term health issues.

The Legacy Healing Center team understands the chaos and struggle that is often associated with addiction. Many members of our staff have helped their friends or family members through their own addiction or have personally struggled with addiction themselves. We believe that this experience allows you to better cater to your needs when you come to Legacy.

It’s important to remember that you will likely be exposed to certain ideas or concepts that you may be unfamiliar with you when you come to Legacy drug rehab. As a result, you may feel uncomfortable at different points during the course of your treatment. We encourage every client that comes to Legacy to keep an open mind while they are with us. Taking this step will help you develop a better understanding of tools and techniques that will help you maintain your sobriety for the rest of your life.

Alcohol Rehab Centers Near North Hempstead

If you feel as though you are continuously surrounded by alcohol, making the change and committing yourself to an alcohol addiction program at our facility can help you overcome your addiction. Through participation in different forms of therapy and developing a form of inner peace, you will be able to take the steps that you need to take to leave alcohol in your past and transition into living life instead of simply living for your addiction.

Addiction Treatment Centers Near Me

One of the main reasons many clients decide to come to Legacy Healing Center alcohol rehab is our recovery approach. We believe that the best way for you to overcome your addiction is by having a hand in putting together your treatment plan. One of the first decisions you will need to make is whether you will enroll in our inpatient or outpatient program.

Our outpatient program is well-suited for clients that need to adhere to personal or work responsibilities. Clients who decide to work through our intensive outpatient program or our general outpatient program will come to our facility for their treatment on specific days and times. They will still experience the same forms of therapy as our inpatient clients and the individualized attention that Legacy is known for.

Our inpatient program’s leading benefit is that you will live on our campus during your treatment. You will have access to our team 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We will provide you with a comfortable room to stay in, meals throughout the day, and access to the luxurious amenities that Legacy is known for.

Does your body feel sore, and you would like to relax with a massage? Perhaps you want to go for a swim? Maybe you want to workout with a personal trainer? We have you covered. Our team will always do everything that we can to ensure that you are comfortable during your time with us.

Therapy will also play a critical role in your journey toward sobriety. An example of counseling that you will experience regularly is individual therapy. Also known as one-on-one therapy, individual counseling will help you identify the events in your life that may have triggered your addiction that you may not feel comfortable sharing in a group environment. Additionally, you will begin to put together a relapse prevention plan with a member of our team. One of the other benefits of individual therapy is that you can review and access your treatment plan. We always want to know how you feel as you are progressing in your recovery because this will let our team know whether or not we need to make any adjustments to your plan.

Another prominent form of therapy that we offer at Legacy is group therapy. You will notice that group therapy and a 12-step meeting are very similar in many ways. During group therapy, your discussions will be guided by a member of the Legacy team. They will cover a variety of topics, including sobriety, recovery, and addiction. We will encourage you to share your thoughts about these topics as well as your experiences. In turn, you will also listen to the ideas of our team as well as the other people in your group.

Actively participating in group therapy can also help you to start to develop your own system of support. The more you talk to the people in your group, the more you realize that you have many similarities with them. You may come to find that you have similar thoughts and ideas when it comes to overcoming your addiction, and you also may be able to connect with them personally because of close likes and interests. These are relationships that you can maintain long after you are done with your treatment program, which can go a long way in helping you remain focused on your sobriety.

It’s not uncommon for a person struggling with addiction to also have a mental illness. Unfortunately, there is still a negative stigma associated with mental illness, which is why many who have an addiction may not want to talk about it. Behavioral therapy can help determine whether you are suffering from a mental illness and formulate a plan to address both your mental illness and your addiction.

Addiction can also be referred to as a family disease since it tends to impact every member of your family in one way or another. A person with addiction also tends to lose sight of the importance of maintaining their relationship with certain family members. At a certain point in your recovery, it’s expected that you may want to take steps to reconnect with your family members. This is one of the reasons why we offer family therapy at Legacy. During these personal sessions, you will have the opportunity to interact with the members of your family that may have been affected by your addiction. These sessions are done in a neutral environment, so this way, both you and your family members feel at ease and comfortable throughout the conversation. From there, we can assess the best path going forward so that you and your family can begin to heal.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

The cost associated with your treatment plan is dependent on a variety of different factors. We do understand, however, that it is something that you may be considered about. Keep in mind that the treatment plan for every client that comes to Legacy will be different. We help you develop a program based on your needs and goals, which will differ from other clients.

Therefore, it’s impossible to provide you with a specific cost of care until we can speak with you more. This is why reaching out to one of our recovery specialists is such a critical step. At Legacy, we believe that every person should have the opportunity to receive the care and support they need to overcome their addiction. If you have any concerns regarding the cost of a treatment program, please let us know. We will do everything that we can to work with you to come to our treatment facility.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

Unfortunately, many people overlook the critical role that a detox program can have on their overall recovery. If you initially speak to one of our recovery specialists and are still struggling with active addiction, we will always recommend that you first go through our detox program. A drug detox program will help you manage the withdrawal symptoms you are sure to feel within just a few hours of no longer consuming your drug of choice.

One of the dangers associated with detox is the fact that withdrawal symptoms are unpredictable. While you may feel as though you are trying to fight off a bad case of the flu, another person may feel extremely nauseous. Regardless of the symptoms that you experience, there is always a high likelihood that you may not be able to take care of yourself during this period which is one reason why it’s never advisable that you try to go through the detox process alone.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

In most cases, alcohol withdrawal symptoms will set it within a few hours of the last time you took your last drink. That is why we must work with you to set up a time for you to come to Legacy as soon as possible once you initially reach out to us. The premise of alcohol detox is very similar to that of drug detox. Most of our clients spend roughly a week in detox and allow their body to rid itself of the alcohol toxins. The height of the symptoms usually appears between the second or the third day. Once you are through the detox process, you can then truly commit to a treatment plan.

How Long Is Rehab?

Before you begin treatment, you must have a firm understanding of the duration options that you will have when you come to Legacy. As addiction experts, we realize that it will take much longer than a few days or even a few weeks. We offer treatment plans that can last 30, 60, or up to 90 days. The decision regarding the length of your treatment program is an important one which is one reason why we strongly recommend that you hold off on finalizing your decision until you can speak to a member of our team. The reason for this is that there are several factors that you may not necessarily see or consider while you are still adjusting to your newfound sobriety.

We also understand that once you are done with your initial treatment plan, you still may want to keep in touch with the Legacy team regarding your therapy or simply have the opportunity to connect with other alumni from Legacy that have completed their respective program. Our Addiction Aftercare program is the perfect way to do this. Enrolling in this program gives you the flexibility to continue working with our team as you adjust to being back home while receiving notifications about different alumni events that we schedule throughout the year. A member of our team can speak with you more about Addiction Aftercare at any time.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?

In recent years, the fact that addiction is a disease has become more widely accepted in the insurance industry. Whereas people were forced to completely cover the cost of a treatment plan in the past, insurance carriers are now willing to cover most of, if not all, of the cost of many addiction recovery plans. Legacy Healing Center accepts various insurance carriers, which can significantly help reduce the financial burden associated with a recovery plan.

Keep in mind, however, that the terms of coverage are different for every insurance carrier. Many insurance companies will completely cover the cost associated with both detox and recovery, while many other carriers will only cover a recovery plan and not detox. Additionally, suppose you were recently in a different treatment facility. In that case, there is a possibility that you may need to wait a certain number of days before you can enroll in a Legacy treatment program.

If you are unsure of the terms of your coverage, let us know. Our team is always happy to review your policy with you to build your treatment plan.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

A common question that many of our interested clients ask is regarding the cost of treatment. While it’s an understandable concern, it’s important to remember that each client’s treatment program that comes to Legacy is different and unique. As a result, the cost associated with a treatment program designed for you and that of another client will likely be very different.

At Legacy, we believe that every person that sincerely wants to overcome their addiction should have the opportunity to do so. This is why we will do everything we can to work with you regarding your treatment plan’s cost. We caution you never to let your treatment program’s potential cost stop you from reaching out to us. One of our recovery specialists can provide you with more information about price and payment options.

How Does Drug Detox Work?

Regardless of your drug of choice, you should always factor in a detox program into your treatment plan if you are still struggling with active addiction when you first reach out to us. The reason for this is two-fold.

First, when you are still combatting active addiction, you will not be in the right mentality to truly grasp the essential concepts that we will teach you at Legacy. Secondly, you will likely experience physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms within just a few hours of the time that you consumed your drug of choice.

One of the scariest aspects of detox is that it isn’t possible to predict the type of withdrawal symptoms you may experience. For some clients, their withdrawal symptoms may be very mild. For others, however, their symptoms may be downright crippling. This is why we never recommend trying to go through the detox process by yourself. You should always have a trained medical professional with you as you navigate through your detox.

How Does Alcohol Detox Work?

The premise of alcohol detox and drug detox are similar in multiple ways. An alcohol detox program’s goal is to help you safely remove the influence of alcohol. Like drug detox, the symptoms of alcohol detox will set in within a few hours of the time you took your last drink. Common examples of alcohol withdrawal include a noticeable increase in anxiety, shaking or tremors, insomnia, and nausea. In some instances, withdrawal symptoms can become much more severe, and a person may begin to suffer from delirium tremens. A person that is classified as having delirium tremens may experience extreme confusion as well as hallucinations.

Regardless of the symptoms that you may experience, it will be difficult, if not impossible, for you to care for yourself during this period which is why we strongly encourage our clients that still have an active alcohol addiction to come to Legacy for treatment. We will work closely with you throughout the week to ensure you successfully recover from your withdrawal symptoms so you can fully commit to your treatment plan.

How Long Is Rehab?

The Legacy team recognizes that the story behind every person that comes to our facility is different. Many clients work with our staff who have been struggling with an addiction for years, while many others may have only been struggling for months. This is one of the leading reasons we offer various options regarding the duration of your treatment plan.

Clients that come to Legacy will have the option to pick whether they want to work through our shorter 30 or 60-day programs. For clients that would like to make a longer commitment, we can arrange for you to enroll in a long-term 90-day program.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?

Recently, many insurance carriers have come to the understanding that addiction is a disease. As a result, this disease needs to be treated with different medical treatment forms to fully recover physically and psychologically. This is why today, many insurance companies will cover some, if not all, of the cost of your care at Legacy. Our treatment center works with several private insurance companies. We realize that taking this step will ease the financial burden that many clients may feel.

It’s important to remember that there may be certain restrictions on the terms of your coverage. For example, your insurance carrier may only provide you with full coverage for a 30-day program and not give any coverage when it comes to a detox program.

Additionally, suppose you went through another recovery program at a different facility recently. In that case, there is a possibility that you may need to wait a certain number of days before your insurance provider will cover the cost of the program at Legacy.

We understand that the terms of your insurance can be overwhelming and confusing at times. If you need help when it comes to navigating your coverage terms or needing assistance in cutting through the red tape, just let us know. We are always happy to help you get the most out of your private insurance
