What to Expect During Rehab

Our 30-day drug treatment program is unique in the sense that we offer a holistic form of recovery. When you come to Legacy Healing in South Florida, the main focus will be on taking part in different forms of therapeutic treatments that will help you determine the reasons that led you down the path of addiction and what you can do to maintain your sobriety. This is done through participation in individual therapy, behavioral therapy, group therapy, and family therapy if you are interested in rebuilding your relationship with your loved ones.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

One of the main questions we receive from potential clients is connected to the cost associated with your inpatient drug rehab treatment plan. It’s important to remember that we work personally with each of our clients to develop their unique recovery plan. Therefore, the cost associated with each treatment plan will always be different. If you have concerns regarding the cost of care at Legacy Healing, please let one of our recovery specialists know. We believe that every person who wants the chance to recover should have the opportunity to do so. Therefore, we will try to work with you in every way we can.

Does Insurance Cover Residential Rehab?

If you have private insurance, be sure to let one of our recovery specialists know when you first reach out to us. Our facility works with several private insurance companies that may help offset your treatment plan’s cost. Each carrier is slightly different in the details of addiction recovery that they cover, however. For example, if you were recently a resident at another facility, your insurance company may require you to wait a certain number of days before beginning a program at Legacy Healing.

What Is the Difference Between
Inpatient and Outpatient?  

As part of the process of personalizing your recovery plan, we give you the option to decide whether you would like to work through our inpatient or outpatient program. The main difference between these two types of programs is where you will live during the course of your treatment. 

For example, clients that decide to enroll in our outpatient program will only come to Legacy Healing on certain days and set times to participate in treatment. On the other, our inpatient program allows clients to live on the Legacy Healing campus during treatment. We will provide you with food to eat and luxurious amenities, including a warm and comfortable bed as well as access to a personal trainer.  

We recommend you consider the decision to enroll in an inpatient or an outpatient program carefully. Our team is always happy to provide you with our suggestions and help you work out the details to feel comfortable.  

Sober Friendly Attractions Near Pittsburgh  

When you are in the middle of struggling with an addiction, it’s easy to miss the tremendous sober friendly attractions that are spread in and around the Pittsburgh area. Before you begin to make plans to explore these locations, however, it’s essential that you take the time to develop a routine of regularly attending 12-step meetings to ensure your sobriety remains intact. Once you feel comfortable, you should take the time to visit some of these great locations:  

Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum

If you are a United States military history lover, you will likely enjoy a trip to the Soldiers and Sailors Military Museum and Memorial. This location is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places because it features an expansive collection of exhibits representing the development of all branches of the military. One of the most popular displays is the one that is dedicated to the Civil War, which features a life mask of Abraham Lincoln.

Hundred Acres Manor Haunted House

The Hundred Acres Manor Haunted House is an excellent place to visit around the Halloween season. This location was deemed Pittsburgh’s scariest haunted house and features escape rooms with horror themes as well as an expansive maze. It’s important to remember, though, this is not a suitable location for young children. However, there is a not so scary wagon ride connected to this venue right down the street.

USS Requin

Submarine warfare played a significant role in World War II. Today, one of the submarines used toward the end of this war sits in the water near the Carnegie Science Center and serves as a museum. The USS Requin was initially commissioned on April 28, 1945, and became a base for naval officers until December 2, 1968. Visitors to the ship can learn more about what it would have been like to serve on the submarine as well as the action that shipman saw during their tour of duty on it.
