How Long Does Rehab Take?

As addiction experts, we have a comprehensive understanding that you can never take a one size fits all approach to addiction recovery. With this in mind, we have developed treatment plans that last 30, 60, or 90 days. There are numerous considerations you should remember when making your decision regarding the length of your program. We always recommend that you discuss your options with one of our counselors before you finalize your decision.

30-Day Rehab

Our 30-day treatment plan is ideal for a person who understands that they need help when it comes to overcoming their addiction but does not feel comfortable committing to a more extended program for one reason or another.

In those first 30 days, you will begin to experience the tremendous benefits of recovery by taking part in different therapy forms and other sober activities. You will work personally with one of our counselors to put together a daily schedule that will help you accomplish the goals that you have for your overall recovery.

60-Day Rehab

A 60-day program is a perfect intermediary between a short-term 30-day program and a long term 90-day program. You will still participate in the same forms of therapy that you did in your first 30 days. However, you will give yourself a better opportunity to heal physically and mentally and spiritually from the effects of addiction.

90-Day Long-Term Rehab

A long-term stay at our treatment facility in South Florida is always advisable because it gives you the best possible chance to overcome your addiction and attain long-term sobriety. By opting to participate in this program, you give yourself an ample opportunity to better understand the teachings and lessons associated with recovery. Remember, you can request to extend your treatment plan at any time by merely speaking to a member of our team.

Queens is one of the boroughs of New York that in continuously bustling with activity. Regardless of the time, you can usually always find something interesting to do in the area. After you complete treatment at Legacy in South Florida and establish a healthy routine of attending 12-step meetings when you return home, we recommend that you take advantage of visiting some of the fun attractions in and around Queens. Houdini’s Grave

Many people are unaware that the famed escape artist, Harry Houdini, is buried in Queens’s center. Houdini died relatively young at the age of 52; however, his name lives on as one of the best illusionists of all time. The gravesite is visited regularly by fans of Houdini. Due in large part to the fact that Houdini died on Halloween in 1926, there is traditionally a large gathering around his gravesite on that day. Houdini is buried in Machpelah Cemetery, which is generally open to the public seven days a week at specific times each day.

Birthplace of Scrabble

Did you know that the concept of Scramble was developed in the basement of a church in Queens? In 1938, architect Alfred Mosher Butts was puttering with crossword and other gaming puzzles in the Community United Methodist Church’s social room. His love of words is what inspired him to create the game of Scrabble, which is still incredibly popular to this day. When you visit the location, be sure to look on the street sign, which was uniquely designed to give off the appearance of Scrabble tiles.

Vander End-Onderdonk House

Queens and the surrounding boroughs have certainly seen its fair share of history throughout the years. The Vander Ende-Onderdonk House in New York City’s oldest Dutch Colonial stone house. The house was initially built in 1709 by a farmer named Paulus Vander Ende. Today, the place serves as a historical museum where visitors can appreciate the unique craftsmanship of building a structure like this in the early 1700s. You can go to this museum on Saturday or Sunday between 1 PM and 5 PM or on Wednesdays between 3 PM and 6 PM.
