Titanic Historical Society
The sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912 is an event that shocked the world due largely to the loss of life. Today, the sinking is still classified as one of the worst maritime tragedies in history. The Titanic Historical Society displays a variety of artifacts that have been recovered from the ship. Members of this group also actively rally for allowing the ship to go undisturbed due to the instability associated with the site. The exhibits at the Titanic Historical Society are open to the public from 10 AM through 4 PM every day of the week, with the exception of Sunday.

Miles Morgan Statue
Miles Morgan is generally recognized as one of the founders of Springfield. Morgan was born in Wales and came to Boston in April of 1636. He moved to different locations in the New England area and ultimately settled in Springfield. By 1658, Morgan was a sergeant in a local militia, and he would go on to defend Springfield against the Native Americans in the area gallantly. Morgan survived the attack and ultimately passed away in 1699. The Miles Morgan Statue stands today as a tribute to the man who initially developed the Springfield area.
