Opioid Rehab for Trenton, NJ Residents

Opioid Epidemic

The opioid epidemic in the United States first came to light in the late 1990s due to pharmaceutical companies giving reassurances to the medical community that if a doctor prescribed a patient opioids, there was a very low chance that consuming the drug would develop into an addiction. As a result, doctors began to prescribe the medication at a higher rate and unfortunately triggered what we now know as the opioid epidemic.

If you find yourself struggling with an addiction to opioids, the Legacy Healing Center team in South Florida is here and ready to help you when you are ready to overcome your addiction. The Legacy team has a unique understanding of addiction for many reasons. As addiction experts, we pride ourselves on remaining up to date with all of the latest developments when it comes to addiction and recovery. Additionally, many staff members have either personally struggled with addiction or have had a friend or loved one who has gone through their own battles with addiction. This is just one reason you can always count on us to have your best interests at heart.

History of Opioid Addiction

You may be surprised to learn that opioids were actually used recreationally for hundreds of years. However, when the drugs’ medicinal advantages began to become known, the use of the drug shifted. During the American Civil War, doctors regularly used opioids on the battlefield to help soldiers suffering and pain.

Today, many people suffering from pain take opioids to reduce the discomfort, but addiction can quickly develop if not appropriately monitored.

How to Detox From Opioids

Sadly, there are many clients that reach out to Legacy Healing about drug rehab, but they overlook the importance of first working their way through a detox program before they begin their general recovery program. Our detox program will help you remove the physical effects of opioids from your system safely. Our trained medical professionals will monitor your symptoms, so there is never a risk of you being in any type of harm during the detox process.

What Opioid Rehab Is Like

Your treatment plan will incorporate various forms of therapies to help you address and overcome your addiction. Participation in group therapy, behavioral therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy will make up the bulk of your time at our treatment center.

We provide our clients with the chance to enroll in either an inpatient or an outpatient treatment plan. Clients that decide to take advantage of an inpatient program will have peace of mind knowing that they have a comfortable bed to sleep in every night, access to delicious food as well as amenities that will make you feel as though you are at home.

We also realize that this is not always feasible for some clients, so we also developed our outpatient program. Clients that decide to work through our outpatient program will come to our facility for treatment at set days and times throughout the week.

How Long Does Rehab Last?

At Legacy Healing, we offer treatment programs that last anywhere between 30, 60, or 90 days. We understand that each client is different and requires different levels of care. We encourage you to speak with a member of our team before you finalize your decision to ensure that you will get the most out of your time at our facility. Remember, if you would like to extend your treatment plan, we can help you to adjust it at any time.
