What Types of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

At Legacy, we believe in taking a holistic approach to recovery, which is why we expose our clients to a variety of therapeutic techniques. Group therapy, one-on-one therapy, family therapy, and behavioral therapy are all examples of counseling you will receive at Legacy Healing. If you have any concerns about participating in these forms of treatment, please let us know so that we can help you work through your apprehensions.

Group Therapy

Group therapy closely follows the model of a 12-step meeting. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to communicate and share your thoughts about recovery, addiction, and sobriety with other clients working through their own program. Additionally, you will have an excellent opportunity to listen to the insight of others. Remaining open to hearing differing points of you will only help you to progress in your own recovery.

One-on-One Therapy

Individual therapy will play an essential role in your recovery due to the fact that it gives you the opportunity to speak to a member of our team in a personalized setting. Understandably, you may not feel comfortable talking about some of the experiences you have had in your life that may have triggered your addiction. During a one-on-one therapy session, you can take the opportunity to speak at length about these events. You can also connect with our team regarding how you feel as you progress in your treatment and discuss whether your current treatment plan needs to be adjusted.
