What Is Drug Rehab Like?

Your time at Legacy Healing will primarily entail taking part in various forms of therapy. The leading forms of therapy include behavioral therapy, individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy. Group therapy will often play a dominant role in any treatment plan that we craft for you because it helps you connect with other people who have experienced similar addiction issues. Speaking openly and honestly about your addiction is an excellent way to help you begin to travel down the road of recovery.

Individual and behavioral therapy will begin to dive deeper into the reasons that may have led you toward addiction. Did you suffer from a trauma when you were younger? Did you experience something as a first responder or a veteran that had an unforeseen impact on you? Individual and behavioral therapy can help you address these events and teach you what steps you can take to avoid addiction in the future.

It’s also important to remember that addiction tends to impact every member of your family. This aspect is where family therapy is a useful tool because it allows you to meet with your loved ones in a neutral setting to heal from the effects of addiction.
