What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

One of the leading decisions you will need to make before you finalize your treatment plan at Legacy Healing is whether you would like to participate in our inpatient or outpatient program. Clients who opt to go through our inpatient program will eat, sleep and remain on campus full time during their treatment. On the other hand, outpatient clients will only come to Legacy Healing during assigned days and times for their treatment. Regardless of your treatment plan, you will still participate in the same therapy forms and access all of the amenities that we have to offer.

What Type of Therapy Happens at Rehab?

It’s important to remember that therapy will take a leading role in your overall recovery. You will take part in various counseling forms, including group therapy, individual therapy, behavioral therapy, and family therapy. We encourage you to take full advantage of participating in each form of therapy. For example, taking part in family therapy gives you the option to have your family come to Legacy Healing in a neutral setting and discuss how your addiction may impact the relationship that you have with your loved ones. You and your family members can then begin to develop a plan where you can start to have a close relationship once again.

Group Therapy

If you have ever been to a 12-step meeting, you will notice that a group therapy session resembles a 12-step meeting in many ways. During these guided sessions, you will have the chance to share your thoughts or views about a specific topic associated with addiction or recovery. In turn, you will listen to the experiences of other people in your group. Taking part in this form of therapy allows you to expand your support system and provides you with a better understanding of the fact that you are not alone when it comes to recovery.

One-on-One Therapy

Individual therapy, also known as one-on-one therapy, will be another essential factor in your recovery. Understandably, there may be certain events or traumas that happened in your life that you don’t feel comfortable sharing in a group setting. One-on-one therapy allows you to address those issues with a team member and work through them.
