If you find that your life is spiraling out of control due to alcohol addiction, it’s time that you turn to the professionals at Legacy Healing Center in South Florida for help. We work personally with our clients to put together a treatment program that suits their recovery goals but does not impede on any personal or professional responsibilities that they have in their life.
During the course of your alcohol addiction treatment, you will take part in various forms of therapies, including group and one-on-one sessions, and different activities that will help you learn the steps that you need to take to overcome your addiction and finally achieve the sobriety that you need and deserve to live a healthy life.
First, Alcohol Detox
Before you can completely focus on your treatment program, you must first remove any trace of alcohol from your system. However, when you are in the midst of an addiction, it’s never advisable that you try to complete this process on your own. Once your brain and body realize that you will not be consuming the amount of alcohol you normally drink, you will start to experience withdrawal symptoms, including nausea, shakiness, and an increase in your anxiety. In certain cases, withdrawal symptoms can be severe if not deadly, which is why you should never try to detox unless you are under the care of a trained medical professional.
Getting to the Root of Alcohol Addiction
In order for you to overcome your addiction, it’s important that you are able to identify what triggered your addiction in the first place. In many cases, there is a specific event or trauma that took place in your life that may have contributed to your addiction. Our team will work with you to determine if such an occurrence happened and how you can overcome it.
Overcoming Addiction With Therapy
