Inpatient Drug Rehab for West Palm Beach Residents

Inpatient Drug Rehab for West Palm Beach Residents

The best way to treat a severe addiction to alcohol or drugs is to enter into an inpatient drug rehab. It can be difficult for an addict to attempt to quit substance abuse alone because of the cravings and other withdrawal symptoms that they experience, and the nature of addiction as a disease can drive them to continue with the engrained cycle of drug and alcohol abuse.

However, in an inpatient rehab program at Legacy Healing Center, all of the negative distractions such as drug-abusing friends, and the access to drugs or alcohol are removed, allowing you to focus completely on healing. An inpatient program can be seen as a break from your life that opens you up to new possibilities and a way of thinking that can bring about significant positive change.

Inpatient rehab programs also allow addicts to be able to attend rehab from out-of-state. A new environment, especially in the idyllic West Palm Beach, can be a significant benefit to the healing the process.

What is Inpatient Drug Rehab?

Inpatient drug rehab refers to the type of treatment program where a patient will live at a residential facility at the rehab itself in order to receive treatment for substance use disorder (addiction). It is also commonly referred to as residential drug rehab. A patient will stay in their own room, or potentially with a roommate that is also in the program, and attend daily activities that are geared toward their recovery from drug or alcohol addiction.

While both outpatient and inpatient rehab uses the same types of treatment methods, inpatient rehab is the most intensive form of treatment. From the moment you wake up until you go to sleep, you will be led through an individualized schedule and plan that will help you to recover from an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

Inpatient rehab is best suited to people who have tried to stop before but relapsed, addicts who fear that they won’t be able to stop if they remain surrounded by the people in their life currently, or for addicts with severe addictions to physically addictive drugs such as opioids, meth, or cocaine.

How Long Does Rehab Take?

Beware of addiction treatment programs that promise to cure an addiction overnight. The only effective way to treat addiction, which is a chronic, relapsing disease, is to take part in lengthy treatment over a period of at least 90 days, according to research by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and other organizations.

The severity of the addiction, and the type of substance that a person is addicted to often dictates the length of treatment that a person requires. In general, the three-month period that is required for treatment to take full effect can be done through a combination of inpatient, outpatient, and aftercare services.

Recovering addicts are encouraged to continue with the active management of their sobriety after rehab through aftercare services and support groups such as 12-step programs because the longer that addiction is actively managed, the easier it becomes to remain clean and sober in the years that follow intensive treatment.

30-Day Rehab

One of the rehab programs we offer in our inpatient drug rehab is the 30-day treatment program. It is one of our shortest programs for alcohol and drug abuse treatment that incorporates the most effective therapy models including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

In our 30-day rehab program, you can also expect to delve into family therapy, where it is deemed to be beneficial to the recovery of the patient and where it can help to heal strenuous relationships in the family unit. A larger part of 30-day rehab programs will be dealing with withdrawal symptoms and treatment thereof, compared to longer programs. A patient can expect to undergo a medical detox for at least the first week of their stay at our inpatient drug rehab, where it is deemed necessary.

The types of treatment methods that are incorporated into each patient’s recovery plan are based on an assessment that takes place upon entry into the program. In the assessment, a patient’s family dynamics, medical history, mental health, and severity of their substance abuse will be explored, among other important elements relevant to their recovery plan.

Since the optimal treatment length is considered to be roughly 90 days, according to the various studies, after receiving treatment through the 30-day inpatient program, patients can then move into our intensive and standard outpatient programs, and finally our aftercare services that help to manage addiction in the years to come.

60-Day Rehab

A step above our 30-day rehab programs is our 60-day programs that are designed to assist our patients with the same types of treatments as in our 30-day program, but allowing for more time to partake in therapy and holistic treatments. In some cases, a longer treatment program is required to provide more intensive and effective treatment.

A 60-day inpatient drug rehab program will ultimately provide a client with more time to dedicate to intensive therapy and treatments since the length of detox is usually around 6-7 days.

90-Day Long-Term Rehab

One of the longest programs that we offer is out 90-day inpatient drug rehab. It provides the most intensive and conclusive treatment for addiction in an inpatient setting. During your stay at our residential facilities, your time will be dedicated to your healing and recovery from drug abuse through the same types of treatment methods that are used in our other treatment programs.

Since 90 days of treatment is the suggested optimal treatment length for addiction, by the end of the treatment, our patients feel confident and ready to re-enter into their life without the reliance or need for drug abuse to maintain their happiness.
