Short Term Addiction Treatment for Drugs and Alcohol
Drug and alcohol addiction entails a disease that requires professional intervention due to its ability to affect anyone. It doesn’t matter whether you live in New York City or any other part of the world or whether you have millions of dollars or you’re living paycheck to paycheck; addiction can harm your life at any point in your life. Many people are put off by the premise of drug or addiction treatment because they don’t feel comfortable committing a tremendous amount of time to addiction recovery. While it’s important to remember that you will be on a recovery journey in some way, shape, or form for the rest of your life, it’s understandable that due to your current life situation, you simply can’t commit to an intensive 90 days treatment program. At Legacy Healing Center, we offer flexible short-term addiction treatment options that will suit your individual needs.
What Happens During Short Term Addiction Treatment
During short addiction treatment, you will take a deep dive into the root causes of your addiction. While the root cause of addiction is different for every person, the basis for addiction is trauma in most cases.
You will participate in various forms of therapy that will help you identify and address your addiction’s root causes so that they are no longer a trigger point for you. Some of the examples of therapy that you will experience when you come to Legacy Healing Center include:
- Trauma-based therapy
- Behavioral therapy
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Group therapy
Who Needs Short Term Addiction Treatment
Addiction treatment is available for any person who has recognized that they have an addiction and are ready to reach out for help. Short-term addiction treatment is also an excellent option for people that may not feel 100% comfortable with the extended format of a 60 or 90-day treatment program. Keep in mind that if you begin in a 30-day treatment program, you can always opt to extend it at any time. You can also change your treatment plan at any time. For example, you can begin with a 30-day inpatient program and then transition into a 60 or 90-day outpatient program immediately after.
Does Insurance Cover Short-Term Addiction Treatment?
The question of whether or not your insurance provider will cover the cost of your addiction treatment program is really a matter of the type of insurance that you have. Since addiction is recognized as a disease, your insurance provider may cover most of if not all of the costs associated with your care. The best thing for you to do is reach out to your insurance company for a better understanding of the terms of your coverage. If you’re unable to make this phone call on your own, you can always ask a member of our team to assist you, or you can ask for a friend or family member to help you.
